The Remix Project
About the Project
Remixin is a derivative works project that aims to explore the outcome of taking a small number of tracks and remixing them into a very large number of tracks. In particular we want to see what happens when you do this is iteratively so that you are remixing a remix of a remix and so on. What kind of music is the 3rd or 4th generation? How similar is it to the original (seed) song? After a couple of years you could potentially listen to a 20th or more generation version of a remix you personally have done. There are no style restraints, the more diverse the styles we collect the better!
So far we have been getting great submissions and getting lots of inquiries. I hope this trend continues and we continue to get more quality contributions and even more diversity. I hope you will consider becoming part of the remixin project!
