The Pitchfork Music Festival announced some new additions to their line up last month including The Flaming Lips. Other notable acts on the bill include Pharoahe Monch, Grizzly Bear, Yo La Tengo, and Tortoise. Ableton has just announced the release of Live 8. You can now buy or upgrade to version 8.
I got to play with beta of Live 8 last month and really like the improvements. There are new features like groove pool, new clip warping, real-time looper synth, vocoder, crossfades, & enhanced editing. I never upgraded to 7 (I still use 6) but I am planning on upgrading to 8 this month.
